Farnaz Pardasani Honored with PTA Honorary Service Award for Exemplary Leadership
April 20, 2020, [Seal Beach, CA] – Farnaz Pardasani, a dedicated community leader and advocate for educational excellence, was awarded the prestigious PTA Honorary Service Award in recognition of her outstanding leadership during a notably challenging period for the PTA organization.
Appointed just one week before the start of the school year by Principal Roni Ellis, Pardasani took the helm at a critical juncture. With limited preparation time, she swiftly implemented new financial controls, developed a strategic plan informed by extensive parent and teacher input, and ensured the seamless execution of existing PTA programs.
Under her guidance, the PTA not only maintained its scheduled activities but also enhanced its impact by collaborating closely with other on-campus organizations such as Project SEEK. Pardasani's tenure was marked by significant upgrades and innovations in PTA programming, a feat not seen in years.
As the school year progressed, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic required quick adaptive measures. Pardasani led her team to reevaluate and adjust programming to meet new challenges, maintaining a steadfast focus on enriching student experiences and outcomes.
Principal Roni Ellis praised Pardasani's leadership, stating, "I asked Farnaz with zero notice to take on the role just a few days before school started. It was not on her radar, but when I told her we needed her, she quickly rose to the challenge. The way she worked with her team, the parent community, and teachers with transparency, class, and respect was truly remarkable. The impact she made on the PTA—its reputation and its programming—will last for many years to come."
The award was given to her via Zoom as part of the morning announcements as the school has been closed for in-person instruction for several weeks due to COVID-19.
Farnaz Pardasani's tireless, selfless efforts and her innovative approach to leadership have significantly benefited the school community, making her a deserving recipient of this honor and a valued member of the Los Alamitos Unified School District community.
