Meet Farnaz - The Much Needed Perspective
Farnaz transitioned from a distinguished career in management consulting, as an executive consultant for industry giants such as IBM and Deloitte Consulting. Her expertise spanned leading large-scale transformation projects, orchestrating organizational redesign endeavors, and implementing dynamic leadership development programs for numerous multinational corporations.
For nearly a decade now, Farnaz has been an influential figure within the Los Alamitos School District. She has assumed diverse leadership roles within the McGaugh Elementary School PTA, including as President, during which she spearheaded various programs and initiatives on campus such as math night, astronomy night, expert-led webinars on social emotional learning, cultural celebrations, and more. She was awarded the Honorary Service Award in 2020 and in 2021, the Hero of the Heart Award for her impact on the McGaugh Community. Most recently, she was honored by CA State Senator Janet Nyguen as a 2024 Woman of Distinction for her impact on the local Los Alamitos/Seal Beach community.
Farnaz's commitment to educational excellence extends to her active participation on the School Site Council and District Advisory Board.
As a founding member of the Los Alamitos Education Foundation (LAEF) Leadership Circle (since 2017), Farnaz has been a key supporter of all district-wide priorities. Joining LAEF’s Board of Directors in 2021, she subsequently became the Board Secretary in 2023. At LAEF, Farnaz has worked with the Board to steer strategic initiatives especially as related to STEM, drive fundraising efforts, and pioneer new areas of emphasis such as equitable access to expert-led college application support at the high school.
Farnaz brings a much-needed perspective with a unique combination of heart, experience, and passion for success for ALL kids. She is the Trusted Voice to lead our School Board into the next 4 years.
